Local Professor
To Give Paper
Dr. Robert L. Smith, assistant
professor of bio-chemistry at the
LSU Medical School here, will
present a paper at the Southwest
Regional meeting of the Ameri-can
Chemical Society at Austin,
Tex., Wednesday through Friday.
His paper is titled "Pseudo-trypsin,
A Modified Trypsin
Produced by Autolysis."
Dr. Smith's present field of
interest is active sites of proteo-lytic
enzymes which is a study of
the mechanism by which these
enzymes break down proteins.
