Sebastian Casteyó salió de esta ciudad con destino a
ese Puesto desando pendiente una obligacion suya a favor de
D. Santiago Carrick de trescientos pesos, cuya suma debia
satisfacer antes de su partida, conforme lo prometio; pero
como quiera que no lo haya verificado in aun misom dado a
otro. Carrick la menor noticia de su embarca: al recibo de
esta le intimará Vm. la orden de pagar inmediatam.te otra.
Suma al portador del Vale, y de lo contrario lo hara Vm.
baxar a esta capital sin dilacion.

Sebastian Casteyó left this city destined for that Post
desiring in the meantime an obligation of his favored by Don
Santiago Carrick of three hundred pesos, which sum he must satisfy
before his departure, conforming to the promised [agreement]; however,
he has not verified it even in having given
Carrick the least notice of his embarkation. On receiving
this Your Grace will intimate to him the order to pay immediately
the other sum to the bearer of the promissory note, and
concerning the contrary, Your Grace will have him come down
to this capital without delay.
May God keep Your Grace many years.
New Orleans July 9, 1802.
