Forty yearsalmost to the day after her mother received her MD degree, Agnes Burt Caraway recited the same Oath of Hippocrates Saturday morning. Mother, Dr. Margaret Caraway, now 73,years old, was there, She went to Charity hospital auditorium to hear the oath administered to her daughter, with tears of pride and reminiscence in her eyes, Father, the late Dr. A. P. Caraway of Gulfport, Miss, would have been proud, too of this latest doctor in his doctoring family. Brother, Dr. A. P. Caraway Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., was so busy with medical practice he could not get away. The six other girls besides Agnes Caraway in this year's graduation class of 68 at Louisiana State university college of medicine seem to share a common medical background, Almost all have one, two, three or four doctors in the family; some have 'em "in generations." Mignon Jumel, honor student, is the daughter of Dr. Allen Jumel of New Orleans and nearly had a doctor sister as well as father. The sister, Yvonne, was a medical technician and curator of the medical museum at LSU. She gave up her own doctorial ambitions in favor of marrying a doctor, B, P. Simms, M.D.
