Funeral services for Dr. Isaac William Kaplan, senior surgeon at Touro infirmary and Charity hospital, are scheduled tentatively for 2 p. m, Wednesday from the House of Bultman, 3338 St. Charles.
Rabbi Leo Bergman will officiate. Interment will be in Hope Mausoleum.
Dr. Kaplan, 55, died unexpected-y at his home, 1229 Second, at 6:40 a. m. Tuesday. Death apparently was due to a heart attack. The surgeon was a professor at Louisiana State university medical school and a for mer chief of surgery at Touro. was a consultant in surgery at Sara Mayo hospital.
NATIVE OF ARKANSAS Dr. Kaplan, a native of Jones-BOro, Ark., was a resident here 'or more than 25 years. He was graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1929 and was a captain in the Army Medical Corps "during World War II.
He was a member of the American College of Surgeons, Southern Surgical Association, American Association for Surgery of Trauma, American Board of Sur-gery, Alpha Omega Alpha, South-east Surgical Congress, American Medical Association and Southern Medical Association. WIDOW, SISTERS SURVIVE He is survived by his widow, the former Fay Babin, and four sisters, Mrs. Harry Cohen, Miss| Freda Kaplan and Mrs. G. T. Hodges, all of Helena, Ark., and Mrs. A. B. Bindursky of Jones-boro, Ark.
Active pallbearers will be Drs. Marshall L. Michel, James Stewart, William D. Norman, Arthur Davidson, Terrell Tyler and James V. .Rives
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Allan N. Goldman, Dr. R. T. Ules, Charles Rittenberg, Dr. Murrell H. Kaplan, Leon. Wolf, Wiltz Wagner, Dr_ Sam_Karlin, Dr. Isidore Cohn Sr., Lyle As-chaffenburg, Dr. Charles Mianga-lorra. Dr. William Butts and Dr. Horace Trippet.
