A boom in hospital construction and expansion kept moving at full tilt In New Orleans through 1952 and is expected to continue during 1953,
The completely new Veterans Administration hospital was dedicated in Novelnber, and work is In progress on two other brand new hospitals, Mercy hospital and Foundation hospital.
Elsewhere, new wings are going up, new wards are being added, bed capacities are being multiplied, and modern equipment is beings added.
The variety of newly added facilities ranges all the way from stuch highly technical services as a radio-isotope laboratory to snack bars. A quick look at what hospitals are doing and have recently done can only hope to hit the high spots.
