Get set! Go-o-o-o! Yep, in just a few days election-anxious candidates will be sprinting throughout the campus in fits of near-desperation. You see, there are speeches to make, posters to paint, hands to shake, and babies (well, maybe) to kiss. And it all comes under the heading of politics. It seems everyone who is anyone is running for Student Council office this year. Spirit is high; and a great deal of money is being spent on campaign essentials. So, learn how you can pick the "right" candidate from this mass of soap box orators. Read The Maroon's principal editorial, and check the list of qualifications found on Page* 3 and 4 Kennedy Program Viewed By Editor Have you been hearing anything about the newly-proposed "Peace Corps" lately? Well, the chances are nine out of ten that you have. But not many people actually know "what" the corps is. Take a look at this week's "Editor's i Notebook" and find out the qualifications which a Peace Corpsman should possess. Page 4 Student 'Plays' Tough-Guy Role He's tough . . . some call him a juvenile delinquent . . . but he's only a "hoodlum" by night. Sounds strange? Not really. You see, Fred Sigur, pre-law freshman, is a member of the Little Theater. And right now he is appearing in the play about teenagers, "Rebel Without A Cause." The only bad thing about the whole situation, however, is the fact that Sigur likes to react and think as the person he portrays.
