WHITNEY MUNDT No Maroon Deliveries Because of a shortage of personnel on The Maroon's business staff a new policy for campus delivery on Fridays will be initiated this week, Mr. Edwin P. Fricke, Maroon moderator, announced. In the past Maroons were delivered to the various offices, schools and colleges. Beginning with today's issue— schools, colleges and offices on the campus are urged to send a representative to The Maroon office to pick up their papers. Mr. Fricke said that members of the Jesuit faculty and administrative offices in Marquette Hall will receive their papers via delivery as usual. Ah! Woe Is Me WOE IS ME—Ah! Woe ii me . . . today's the day when the "Egg Am I" and "Pie in the Eye" meet face to face "in person" at Kangaroo Kourt. Yei, today's the day ... the soph's day to play, when we freshmen have to lead a dog'# life. But it's not to bad, at least that s what coed MARIEE LEININGER seems to be saying to freshman DANNY MATTHEWS. Kangaroo Kourt Rides Again By EVELYN KOMMA Get out your French Revolution money upperclassmen, the radicals ride again! Enemies of the Republic (frosh) will be duly executed and tried, first things first, you know, today at 12:15 in Kangaroo Kourt in the quadrangle. As befitting such an occasion a guillotine will be set up where all convicted, and all will be, receive their punishment via the middlemanmiddleman ... a black-hooded executioner. Not desiring to go down in history as being unfair and biased the court has selected a group of judges, on the payroll of the court, who will be the last word . . . literally. Also present to cheer on the proceedings will be the radicals dressed in their finest aristocratic attire especially for the affair. As in the past the masses of upperclassmen will also voice their views on the innocence or guilt of a victim by the old Roman custom of either holding the thumbs up or down. (Never in the history of Kangaroo Kourt has the crowd been known to show any compassion or mercy towards freshmen.) One of the top shooters of the Rifle Team, she was chosen one of Louisiana's outstanding women shooters in her freshman year. As a sophomore, she was a member of the Inter-Organization Council and was tapped for Cardinal Key, an unusual honor for a soph. That year, Ro»ie, who believe* in making people happy, founded the Jambalaya party, a treat for freahmen that became a Loyola tradition. While a junior, Rosie received enough laurels to crown three people.
