The acts will include guest stars Barbara Faulkner, music junior, who won last year's individual competition, and Don Bernard, music senior. Faulkner will sing "If I Loved You," and Bernard will follow with "Song of the Open Road." The pair will also du«t on a selection from "Porgyl _~_,,,_,.,.,,, and Bess." Included in the individuals who were accepted are: Lynn Murphy, music senior, singing "Temptation;" Jim Ford, dental senior, singing "I've Got You Under My Skin;" Bob Guidry, A&S junior, doing "Impersonations;" Teddy Sullivan, music freshman, with a piano rendition of "Revolutionary Etude." John Salvaggio, law junior, singing "Tell Me Tonight;" Olga Seiferth, music junior, singing a selection from Carmen, "Seguida;" Donovan Frantz, music freshman, with "Melody for Traps" on the drums; Carl Hellmers, music senior, trumpet, "Carnival of Venice;" and Gerald Marshall, music freshman, singing an aria from Tosca, "E Lucevan La Stella." Those qualifying for the group competition are: The Swinger* with "Jui Medley;" the Deatunes with "It's Wonderful" and "Jeaper* Creeper*}" the Mambo Kings with "M.mbo Selection*;" the Four SAK's with "Green Door" and "I'm A Lonesome Polecat;" and Teddy Sullivan and Kathleen Tonry, music freshmen, with a piano duet of "Dream of Olwen."Skits accepted are those from: LSL, service sorority, with "The Creation;" Tri-Beta, biology society, with "The Pre-Medic;" and Delta Theta Phi, national law fraternity, with "State vs. Pestly." The 17 acts selected for the show were chosen from over 60 auditioners. Frilot said that was the largest number of applicants in Blue Key history, and because of the limited time, many good acts had to be abandoned. Also in the show tonight will be the presentation of the Campus Court with the queen, Mary Aitken. It will be their first formal presentation to the student body. The maids are: Andre Banville, A&S soph; Margaret Blades, A&S junior; Millie Marshall, BA soph; Dotty Bergeron, A&S senior; and June Smith, A&S senior. Mary Fokes was elected from the University's evening division to serve as maid in this year's court. X-Ray Units On Campus Tuesday The Board of Health'* portable X-ray unit will be in the quadrangle Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Agramonte honor society and PKE, commerce fraternity, are sponsoring the unit's campus vitit, Henry Laßocca, Argamonte president, said. All students are urged to hare x-rays made at this time. There is no charge for this service, Laßocca said. ROTC Parade For Sponsors At Next Drill The ROTC unit will hold the presentation of their sponsors on Tuesday at 3 p.m. according to Lt. Col. Marion B. Noland, PMS&T. The presentation was to be held prior to the fall military ball but weather conditions caused cancellation of the event. If the weather is inclement again Tuesday, the presentation will be held in the Fieldhouse. Those to be presented are Sue Wegmann, A&S senior, regimental sponsor; June Smith, A&S junior, first battalion sponsor; and Dottie Bergeron, A&S junior, second battalion. Company sponsors are: Co. "A", Gayle Escher, A&S sophomore; Co. "B", Mary Ann Galle, A&S frosh; Co. "C", Mary Jane Watkins, A&S senior; Co. "D", Maria Larrain, A&S senior; Co. "E", Ann Smith, A&S senior; Co. The young ladies were formally presented at the Advanced Cadet Association's annual fall dance November 9 at the Municipal Auditorium.Parking Solution Presented In Student Petition To City I petition calling for extension of parking facilities International Dr. in Audubon Park to an intersec/ith an extension of Benjamin St. was circulated this by Alpha Delta Gamma, social fraternity, and was presented to the City Council this morning, vising the fraternity is the Rev. Robert L. Boggs, S.J., of students. in 150 copies, each bearing The petition, distributed spaces for 10 signatures, was signed by Loyola students, faculty and staff members exclusively. If the recommendations of the petitions were granted, Benjamin St., which runs parallel to St. Charles Arc, crossing Calhoun St. two blocks west, would be extended to International Dr. in the park. Parking facilities, now located on International Dr. near the front of the park would be extended to the newly formed intersection, making space for an estimated 25 more cars. Gasper Schiro, president of ADG, announced the plan Tuesday at the Inter-Organizational Council meeting. At the meeting, questionnaires were distributed to representatives of each campus organization designed to provide the University with a record of the extra-curricular activity of each student, for reference when answering requests for information from prospective employers of students and graduates.Plugs were voiced for Blue Key Talent Night, the Back the Pack program, and other campus undertakings.Mary Healy, editor of The Wolf, announced a firm intention to leave organizations, which fail to meet deadlines for information, photographs, etc. out of the yearbook.Asked about organizations to be formed this year, she asserted that the new organization would be included only if it met the Dec. 17 deadline for photographing. Edward Pesce noted that a convention of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine would be held in Thibodaux and asked interested students to contact him. lOC and Student Council president Thomas Dußos noted that several organizations have failed to return questionnaires sent out early this semester, and that disciplinary penalties would be imposed on groups not responding within a week. Sympathy The Maroon would like to extend its condolence* to Mr. Edwin P. Fricke, chairman of the department of journalism and moderator of The Maroon on the death of his father last Saturday. Also to Mrs. Sarah E. Witte, secretary of the Evening Division, on the recent death of her father. Social Frats For Texas A&M Sponsors for the game Monday night with Texas A&M college in the Fieldhouse will be the four social fraternities on the campus. That means ADG, Beggars, SAK, and ÜBL are planning something for Monday night. At least we hope so! Last Monday the law school sponsored the game with Southwestern La. Here's what they did: The boys wore their derbies, ushered and took tickets and the like. They gave away a $5 gift certificate at half-time. Mayor Morrison drew the winning ticket, but he was already at the game and not there at the invitation of the law school. Blue Key To Celebrate 25 Years On Campus Blue Key, national honor fraternity, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on the campus Friday, December 14, with a convocation in Marquette Auditorium at 12:15 p.m. The convocation will be directed by Thespian director Leo C. Zinser, chairman of special activities of the silver anniversary. The program will include the presentation of a photograph of the late Rev. James A. Greeley, S.J., charter moderator of Loyola Blue Key,' by the active chapter and the erection of a plaque citing past moderators of the chapter. Dan Stapp, Blue Key president, invites "all active members, alumni, faculty, friends, and honorary members of Blue Key to attend Formal celebration of the anniversary is set for December 29 at the annual banquet in the Jung Hotel. Special recognition will be given to members celebrating their silver jubilee in Blue Key. Immediately preceding the formal celebration will be the 11th Biennial National Convention of the fraternity in New Orleans, Dec. 28-30 at the Jung Hotel. The Loyola chapter will act as host for the convention. More than 100 chapters of Blue Key throughout the nation will send delegates. Addresses of welcome at the opening session, Dec. 28, will be given by Mayor deLesseps S. Morrison, an honorary member; the tD Rev. W. Patrick Donnelly, president of Loyola UniversDan Bert C. Riley, University lorida, founder of Blue Key, attend, Stapp said. Others to attend include, Clair M. Donovan, Grand Rapids, Mich., national president; John J. Mc- Cann, New Orleans, national vicepresident; Carter Short, Fayetteville, Ark., national secretary; Beverly Barnett, Hollywood, Calif., national comptroller, and the Rev. Sam Hill Ray, pastor of St. Ann's Church, West Palm Beach, Fla., and national chap- Pharmacy Alumni, Prof Publish Paper Dr. Frank P. Cosgrove, professor of pharmacy, Merlin Allen and Alfred Gravel, 1956 graduates of the colfege of pharmacy, collaborated on a paper published in the November scientific issue of the American Pharmaceutical Association Journal. The paper was entitled "Same Properties and Uses of Nu Film Starch." Frosh Darling Nominations Begin Monday Nominations for the Freshman Sweetheart will be held Monday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the quadrangle, Bob. Winn, Freshman Council president, announced. Only freshman coeds are eligible for the honor and only members of the freshman class may vote in the election. Five nominees will be selected and the final election will be held Monday, Dec. 17. The Freshman Sweetheart will be formally presented at the Sophomore Cotillion, January 23 at the Tulane Room, Winn said. The elected coed will be the fourth in the history of Loyola to hold the coveted title. Former "Sweethearts" are: Millie Marshall, 1955-56; Janet Perrault, 1954-55 and Jackie Kieffer, 1953- 54. Urge Students To Pose For Wolf Pictures The Wolf photographer is on the campus! He was promised at least 200 students daily, in order that his 10 day stay would be long enough to have every yearbook picture taken. So far, the average pictures taken daily mounts up to about 50—and that's including Evening Division. This lack of students may be due to the changing of sitting rooms. It was previously announced that the pictures would be taken in the cap and gown room, but' was changed Monday, due to inconveniences to the faculty. Presently, the pictures are being taken in The Wolf office. Mary Healy, Wolf editor, urges everyone to have their pictures taken; otherwise they will not be included in the annual. If you have missed your scheduled date, you may still come on one of the followings.Schedule For Photographer Dec. 5, 6, 7 Music and Law Dec. 10-15 BA and A&S All girls must wear white high neck blouses. Boys must have a coat and tie. Caps and gowns are available at all times for graduates.Faculty and staff members may come in at their convenience to have a picture taken. A member of The Wolf staff will be on hand at all times to assist in the signing of designated cards. Holds Annual Mass The Pan-American Club's annual Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadeloupe will be held Sunday at (5 p.m. in Holy Name Church, Bob Courtney, president, announced.
